Details of Leeds City Council's Blue Badge car parking scheme for blind, disabled or those with servere walking dificulties. The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking benefits and other motoring concessions for people with severe mobility difficulties who travel either as drivers or as passengers. It is designed to assist the disabled and people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport and allows them to be parked near shops, stations and other facilities. Barwick-in-Elmet is a village 8 km (6 miles) east of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.It is one of only two places in the area to be explicitly associated with the ancient Celtic kingdom of Elmet, the other being Sherburn-in-Elmet. It is part of the civil parish of Barwick in Elmet and Scholes and lies in the LS15 postcode district.
