Disabled parking bays (external website)
Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council runs schemes to assist and improve the mobility of disabled drivers looking for car parking. Designated parking bay areas are provided for registered disabled drivers (e.g. blue badge holders). These may be on-street parking bays outside residents' homes where parking difficulties are experienced, on streets or marked bays in car parks. You can expect Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council to provide information on how wheelchair access, ramps and kerbs are managed in their area.
